On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2023, we at the Babylon Group celebrated women’s achievements and contributions with an event and engagement. In this event we were pleased to have Ms. Mashuda Begum, Responsible Sourcing, Tesco and Ms. Sunjida Khatoon Shashee, Programme Officer, Ethical Trading Initiative, who shared inspiring words among the fellows.

The United Nations (UN) theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”. According to UN Women, “women’s exclusion from the digital world has shaved $1 trillion from the gross domestic product of low and middle-income countries in the last decade.”

Gender equality and empowerment remains a priority for the Babylon Group – both in our operations and in the organization. We at the Babylon Group are working with our clients to find innovative solutions to help women and girls unleash their human capital and become leaders. However, there is more work to do, so, together, let us accelerate gender equality and empowerment today for a more sustainable tomorrow!
